Training and capacity building programmes offered by the project

The SHIP project aims to build the capacity, qualify and accredit consultants, facility engineers and technicians on various levels to insure proper design, efficient installation and servicing to assure sustainable operations of solar water heater systems in Egypt.

We provide the following capacity building and training programmes

Capacity building program on design and feasibility calculation for SWH systems.

This programme targets engineers, experts, academia and consulting companies. Qualified candidates will join a 5-days training, instructed by international experts, on SWH systems design and feasibility. Afterwards competent candidates will join an on-job training program for a period of 6 months, where they join the project technical team to develop a number of studies in the industrial sector.

Capacity building program on thermal energy efficiency.

This programme targets energy experts and engineers from industrial sector. Qualified candidates will join a 5-days training, instructed by local and international experts, on various thermal energy efficiency assessment tools. Afterwards competent candidates will join an on-job training program for a period of 6 months, where they join the project technical team to develop a number of studies in the industrial sector.

Training program on solar thermal equipment installation & maintenance for technicians.

This programme targets technicians who are working, or interested to work, in the field of SWH installation and maintenance. Qualified candidates will be join a 5 days training and will be qualified on using different techniques of installation and maintenance of SWH systems.
