Egypt welcomed delegates from Tunisia led by Engineer Fathy Al-Hanchi, the general manager of the National Agency for Energy Conservation “ANME”, as they visited the New & Renewable Energy Authority “NREA” where they met NREA’s Executive Chairman, Dr.Mohamed El-Khayat to pinpoint all potential means of collaboration and share the Tunisian experience to develop and evolve the Solar Water Heater’s market in Egypt.
The Tunisian delegation then consequently visited the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency “RECREE” to meet its Executive Director Dr.Jauad El Kharraz. During this meeting, round table discussions were conducted to tackle the challenges facing the SWH market in Egypt and how to overcome them in order to create a flourishing market for SWHs. This was framed through signing a Memorandum of Understanding between RECREE and ANME.
The Tunisian delegation then went to meet Eng.Mohamed Abdelkarim, the Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Modernization Center “IMC” to exhibit the Tunisian’s successful experience in developing the SWH market that was the cornerstone for manufacturing SWHs. This sparked spiraling and fruitful discussions on how to evolve the SWH manufacturing sector in Egypt .
