The Third Day of the Tunisian Delegation’s Visit to Egypt

On the third day of the Tunisian Delegation’s visit to Egypt (27, September 2022) the delegates led by Eng.Fathy Al-Hanchi, the General Manager of the National Agency for Energy Conservation (ANME), visited the manufacturing company “Al-Araby” located in “Quwesna Industrial Region”. The delegation team presented the Tunisian experience in the realm of Solar Water Heaters and exhibited the best practices for manufacturing SWHs. The Chief Executive Officer of Al-Araby, Eng.Mohamed Al-Araby has warmly greeted the Tunisian delegation and allowed round table discussions to identify potential collaboration opportunities for manufacturing of SWH systems in Egypt. Afterwards, Eng.Haytham the manager of the SWH segment in Al-Araby company, gave the Tunisian delegates a tour around the SWH manufacturing premises. Afterwards, discussions were conducted to identify the best technologies for manufacturing SWH collectors.
The Tunisian delegation met representatives from The Sustainable Energy Development Authority – SEDA including Eng.Wael Madkour the Board Member of SEDA and Eng.Ayman Haiba the General Manager. The meeting aimed to discuss the challenges that the SWH market in Egypt may have and how to overcome them to have an evolved SWH market and a memorandum of understanding was signed with Eng.Sami Marouki the Vice President of The Tunisian Cluster for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency “TUNICREEE”. The purpose of the MOU is the exchange of professional experiences in the SWH industry, accomplish networking ties amongst the private sector in Egypt and Tunisia, and conduct trainings for building capacity for Solar Water Heaters and Renewable Energy.
